Smile

Ok, my song of the week choice is one everyone can relate to. It is Kirk Franklin's, "I Smile" which is off his upcoming album. It was posted yesterday for those who want to take a listen. Any who, the song message is telling us to smile in spite of. I understand that you may already know to do this, but do you do it? We smile when everything is 100. Yet, how does your facial emotion translate when things aren't going your way? Do you look depressed, sad, irritated, discouraged, mad and/or upset?

Now that's not to take away that we will ever feel that way. However, this shouldn't be how you feel daily or every time things go wrong. Pity parties are out! Example if something happens you don't like. It may make you upset, mad & everything else. Thing is, your faith should kick in first gear because you're a child of the King. Understanding God doesn't make mistakes and He is able to handle any & everything you're facing. I'm definitely not taking away that life gets hard. Yet as the song says, "Smile."

Smile with confidence knowing God is working things out on your behalf. The devil loves to see you doubt God when rough times hit. You can even smile at him believing God's got your back. Take it one day at a time. Try smiling through the hurt, pain & disappointments. Realizing your temporary road block isn't your permanent destination. With God there is so much more to look forward to. That just made me smile, lol. The sun may dim but the SON is always shining. Not to mention "you look sooooo much better when you smile" any way. :)

A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day. Proverbs 15:13 (Message)
