Who created the beauty checklist for one to see if they made cut? Better yet, can I see it?!?
Short... Tall... Skinny... Thick... No meat on bones... Too much meat on bones... White... Black... Spanish... Latino... Indian... African... Chinese... Long hair... Short hair... No hair.... Big breast... No breast... Pigeon-toed... Hairy... Flat backside... To much backside... Big nose... Big lips.. etc
No matter your body type, ethnicity, or any other physical attribute you want to blurt out; know that it's all beautiful. Many times its easy to set your standards based off what is seen on television, magazines and in the media. You see those women getting men, working in mainstream media or simply seeming having life all figured out. However, don't let others perceptions cause you to have low self esteem. Embrace the woman God created in you. Of course we must maintain self maintenance, but... God made you like nobody else! You're one of a kind. No duplicates allowed!
Beauty isn't only a physical thing. Beauty comes from the inside. I know you have met "beautiful" people by looks alone but when they open their mouth... You guessed it... they just turn ugly. Beauty is more than what meets the eye. Always let your light shine. Spreading love, joy & peace. Exuding those characteristics that make people smile, laugh & enjoy your presence.
Have confidence (not cocky or arrogant)! Know that if you wake up in the morning and decide not to put any makeup on you're still beautiful. Even when you go to bed at night with that scarf on your head you're still beautiful. If you decide to put on a hoody & jogging pants people still want you present because your beauty runs far deeper than your outside appearance. Beauty on the inside and out is a great combination. If you're struggling with knowing you are beautiful and have low self-esteem understand that's not of God. Look at yourself in the mirror and say out loud, "I'm beautiful!" Say it as many times and days as you need to until you believe it. I did :)! Now smile while looking in that mirror and say/sing, "Don't Hate Me Cause I'm Beautiful!"
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Psalm 139: 13-14 (The Message)
